Jay Lee is going into his fifth year working with the Northwestern Oklahoma State athletic department and holds the position of Assistant Director of Athletics for Athletic Communications.

Prior to taking on the Assistant Athletic Director role, Lee was the Director of Athletic Communications for two years from Fall of 2014 through Spring of 2016 where he oversaw communications for five Ranger athletic teams and the Athletic Communications office as a whole.

His first year as part of the Northwestern athletic department, he was a Graduate Assistant in the Athletic Communications office where he was the contact for seven of the 13 athletic programs on campus. During this time he was also the lead statistician for the Northwestern Prep Classic, a small school basketball tournament held at Northwestern each Winter.

Lee is a 2013 Northwestern graduate with a degree in Mass Communication. As a student he served as Sports Editor for the campus' award-winning newspaper "The Northwestern News."

He was also a member of the Ranger golf team for four years and also served as co-chair of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee during his junior year. During that same year he was one of two student-athletes that was a member of the Strategic Planning Committee that was part of a committee that assisted in discussions of becoming members of NCAA Division II.

He now holds a Master's degree in Adult Education, Management and Administration with an emphasis in Sports Management. He was able to finish his second degree in the fall of 2016.

Lee currently resides in Alva, Okla.
