Brock Hime

Brock Hime joins the Ranger coaching staff as the Assistant Cross Country/Track & Field coach after a year and a half of being the head coach at Providence Academy in Rogers, Ark.

In January 2017 Brock Hime was named the Head Coach of the cross country and track & field department. In his first track & field season with Providence Academy the Patriots were crowned State Champions in the varsity girls, varsity boys, and junior high girls divisions. There was no lack of excitement in his first year at the helm of cross country, leading the Patriots to their first ever cross country State Championship. Hime guided the varsity girls, varsity boys, and junior high boys to state championships as well as a runner-up finish for the junior high girls.  

He was also a Volunteer Coach at John Brown University as well as an adjunct teacher at Ecclesia College in the Sport Management Department. Hime graduated in 2014 from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and in July 2017 he completed his Masters degree in Sport Management from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. In June 2017 Hime completed his USATF Level I certification.

Hime was a runner himself, winning state titles in the 3200m, 1600m, as well as the Meet of Champions in 2010. Upon graduating, Hime went on to run on the collegiate level. Spending one semester at Cowley Community College, Hime was a part of history, winning the NJCAA team cross country national championship and half-marathon national championship, becoming an All-American in the process. Hime then transferred to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where he earned All-Conference honors both academically and athletically. Hime contributed at UALR, winning the 2012 SunBelt Cross Country Championship. Hime has also  competed in numerous ultra-marathons, including winning the 2013 Arkansas Traveller 100 mile.

Brock is married to Regan (Ward) Hime, former All-SEC distance runner for the Arkansas Razorbacks. During her time with the Razorbacks, Hime was a member of 11-time SEC Championship teams at Arkansas. Regan currently attends OU Medical Physics graduate school.
