2014 (Sophomore)
Kicked off her second year at Northwestern posting a time of 25:18.53 during the 4k - UCO Land Run...Saw her best time of the season at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open as she finished with a time of 21:41.60...Placed 60th overall with a time of 23:42.2 at the GAC Championships.
2013 (Freshman)
Got her career off to a strong start... Had the team's fastest time in all six of her meets... Clocked the third-fastest 5K in Northwestern history with a 21:01.96 at the Missouri Southern Stampede on Sept. 21... Three weeks later, bested that time with a 21:01.32 at Fort Hays State... Took fourth place out of 11 in tough conditions at the Oklahoma Panhandle State Invitational with a time of 23:10... Missed the GAC Championships due to injury.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Was part of a Mustang High School squad that finished as runner-up at the 2012 State Cross Country meet… Coached by Mike McGary… Qualified for State on the track in 2013 in the 3200 meter run… A four-year member of the Principal’s Honor Roll
PERSONAL:
Born May 19, 1994 in Oklahoma City… Daughter of Steve and Angie Gilbert… Has six siblings: Daniel (32), Amanda (31), Katie (30), Emily (28), Heather (26) and Hared (24)… Majoring in Nursing… Hopes become a CRNA or NNP after graduation… Earned a sport on the Vice President’s Honor Roll in the 2013-14 school year.
