Carla Briscoe enters her second season as head coach of the Ranger Women’s Soccer program at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, becoming the seventh head coach in program history.
Briscoe led the Rangers through a successful 2025 season, finishing with a 10-6-3 overall record and a 5-5-2 mark in Great American Conference play. The Rangers opened the season with an impressive 8-0-1 record, including a seven-match winning streak, and earned a berth in the Great American Conference Tournament. The 2025 season marked a strong first campaign for Briscoe at the helm of the Rangers and established a solid foundation for the continued growth of the program.
Prior to being named head coach, Briscoe spent three seasons as the Rangers' assistant coach, where she played a key role in guiding the program to a Great American Conference (GAC) tournament berth in 2022. During her tenure as an assistant, Northwestern saw 13 players earn All-Conference recognition, including one first-team honoree.
In addition to her coaching duties, Briscoe is also a psychology professor at Northwestern, where she teaches courses designed to help student-athletes apply psychological principles to enhance their sports performance.
Briscoe’s playing career includes time at Tiffin University and Bloomfield College, as well as competing with the North Mississauga Soccer Club in League1 Ontario, one of Canada’s top women’s leagues. At Tiffin, she received multiple academic and athletic accolades, including Ohio Collegiate Soccer Second Team Academic All-Ohio honors, the Tiffin University Academic Distinction Award, and Great Midwest Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference recognition. She also played for the Toronto Lynx in the Canadian Premier Development League and volunteered as a youth soccer coach.
Briscoe holds a Master’s degree in General Psychology from Northwestern Oklahoma State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Psychology
