Maddy Reed was named the Assistant Coach for NWOSU Soccer in January 2021. Reed brings over eight years of coaching experience at the collegiate and club level. She is USSF "D" licensed.

Since August of 2019, she has served as an Assistant Coach at Minnesota State University Moorhead. At MSUM, she gained valuable NCAA Division 2 coaching experience while assisting in team training, recruiting, academic coordination, and culture development. At Minnesota State University, Moorhead Reed was also the goalkeeper coach.

Since 2017 she has also served as the Girls Competitive Director at Tri-City United Soccer Club in Fargo, ND. There she held crucial club administrator and development roles, coaching three age groups and conducting goalkeeper training.

From 2015-2018 she had a highly successful collegiate playing career at Concordia University (MN). Her time at Concordia, she was academic all-conference three straight seasons. Reed concluded her career as the #4 on the all-time saves per game list, #5 on all-time saves list, #5 on all time goals-against the average list, Top 10 on All-Time Save Percentage List, and had 13 career shutouts.
Reed earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Exercise Science and Psychology. In addition, she earned her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). At NWOSU, she will be pursuing her Masters's Degree in Psychology.
