Jeremy White

Jeremy White is heading into his second season as the Head Volleyball Coach of the Northwestern Oklahoma State Lady Rangers.

In his first season at the helm, White brought the Volleyball program to new heights in his first year where the team saw a 16-game swing in the positive direction, finishing the year 20-10 and a fourth place regular season finish in the Great American Conference.

For only the second time in six seasons, the team was able to make the conference tournament, but were unfortunately beaten in the first round.

Under coach White's direction, three student-athletes made the All-Great American Conference team as Brooklynn Hesson was named Newcomer of the Year, while Jennifer Eubanks had one of the best seasons in history was a 1st Team selection and junior Hannah Williams rounded out the year on the 2nd Team.

Prior to coming to Northwestern, White spent his last two seasons at NCAA Division I McNeese State in Lake Charles, La. where the Cowgirls were very competitive while also making consecutive appearances in the conference tournament over the past two seasons. The Cowgirls were semifinalists in the 2015 Southland Conference Volleyball tournament where they were eventually knocked out by the tournament champions, Texas A&M Corpus Christi.

Before being named the assistant for McNeese State, White spent the 2014 season as the top assistant at Lamar State College-Port Arthur where he assisted the Seahawk volleyball team. While at Lamar State College, White directed the Seahawk defense which ranked second in Region XIV in digs per set (15.65) and 5th in blocks per set (2.08).  White also helped mentor four All-Region athletes.

Not only has he been part of quality collegiate programs over the last three seasons, but he was also very successful at the high school level of volleyball. Before taking the assistant position at Lamar State, White spent six years in the high school coaching ranks as both a head and assistant coach. From 2011 to 2013, White led Barbe High School (Lake Charles, LA) to an 81-28 record including three straight District 1-5A Championships and back-to-back appearances in the State Quarterfinals (2012 and 2013). During his tenure with the Lady Bucs, White was a three-time Coach of the Year for District 1-5A while coaching 16 all-district athletes, two district MVPs, two all-state athletes, and two state all-stars.

He is also very well known in club circles in both Texas and Louisiana and was a club director and coach for eight years for multiple club teams across both states. Many of the players he trained and coached at the club level went on to play collegiate volleyball after playing in his system.

White started playing volleyball as a student at McNeese where he competed in both intramural and club volleyball competitions. White has continued his playing career both indoor as a middle blocker and outside hitter and on beach circuit where he's won multiple tournaments at the Open/AA level.

White graduated from McNeese in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in Health and Human Performance and just completed his masters degree in Exercise Physiology this fall.

White is married to the former Sarah Lyons.
