Kortney Cunningham

Kortney Cunningham of Almena, Kansas joined the Ranger coaching staff in Summer of 2019 and will be entering her third season as an assistant coach.

At Northwestern, Kortney has assisted Coach Aubuchon to a 23-11 record in 2019 with a second place finish in the GAC. In 2020, the rangers finished with a 9-6 record finishing 5th in the conference with a shortened COVID year. The program also has received its second consecutive team academic awards as they received the AVCA National Team Academic Awards with a cumulative GPA 3.620.

Kortney graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University in May of 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science.

Throughout Kortney’s playing career she attended Hesston College for two years and made Second-Team All-Region honors. After playing JUCO for two years Kortney transferred to Kansas Wesleyan to finish her collegiate career. At Kansas Wesleyan University Kortney was named First-Team All-Conference, Second Team All-Region. Kortney helped lead her team to a Conference Championship in 2017. She also lead her team to a #1 National Ranking in Blocks Per Game. Kortney was also a part of earning the AVCA National Team Academic Award (2017-2018), the NAIA Team National Academic Award (2017-2018), and the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Team Champion of Character Award (2018).
