Heck Joins the Ranger Staff as the Offensive Coordinator/ Recruiting Coordinator/ Quarterbacks Coach, bringing a proven track record of building explosive, balanced offenses and developing high-level talent at multiple collegiate programs. Heck comes to Northwestern Oklahoma State after serving in the same roles at Missouri Baptist University for the past three season.  

His offense consistently ranked in the top four of the HAAC in all major offensive categories over three consecutive seasons. During his tenure, his units averaged just over 400 yards per game, set multiple single-game and single-season program records. He has produced record-breaking performances from both quarterbacks, wide receivers, and running backs. Heck has coached 11 All-Conference selections in his three seasons at the helm of the offense, which helped lead the way to best record in program history. 

Prior to MBU Heck had a two-year stint as the Tight Ends Coach at Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) powerhouse Marian University in Indianapolis, Ind. At MU, Heck was a part of the MSFA conference championship team in 2021 who ranked as high as #5 in the Country. The Team appeared in two straight NAIA Football Championship Series quarterfinal playoffs. In two seasons with the Knights, Heck was a part of a top five offense in the country where he coached two First Team All-Conference Tight-Ends in 2021 and 2022. 

Before his time at Marian, Heck served as the Wide Receivers Coach at Ottawa University (Kan.) one of the winningest programs in NAIA History. During the spring COVID season, he mentored three Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) All-Conference Honorable Mention recipients. 

Heck made the jump to college coaching as an undergraduate student at the University of Kansas. He served as a student coach working with the quarterbacks for two seasons. Following graduation with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Heck stayed on staff assisting in the quarterback room for two additional seasons. 

Heck began his coaching career at North Chicago Community High School serving as the teams Co-Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach/Academic Coordinator. In his first season, he helped lead the Warhawks to the highest scoring offense in the North Suburban Conference and the team's best record in almost a decade. At the time, he was the youngest Coordinator in the state of Illinois.  

A native of Paddock Lake, Wisconsin. Heck now Resides in Alva with his Fiancé Kaylee who will be married in July.
