Parks joins the Ranger football staff with 18 years of coaching experience, including 15 years coaching the offensive line. He has coached at the collegiate and high school levels, bringing experience from the NCAA Division II, NAIA and Nebraska high school football. Known for his detailed instruction and player-centered approach, Parks emphasizes physical line play, accountability, and player development both on and off the field.Â
Parks most recently served as the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach at Scottsbluff High School, where he led the offensive line, assisted with the defensive line, and supported special teams units. In addition, he coordinated strength and conditioning programming for all NSAA sports and contributed to game planning and in-game adjustments within a gap-scheme offense.Â
Prior to that, Parks coached at Graceland University as the Run Game Coordinator, Strength and Conditioning Coordinator, and Offensive Line Coach. There, he assisted in installing an RPO-based spread and tempo run game, designed tempo-driven lifting programs, and recruited across East Central Iowa, Kansas City, and California junior colleges.Â
Prior to Graceland, Parks spent three seasons at Southern Arkansas University as the Tight Ends and Running Backs Coach/Academic Coordinator. In that role, he led position group installs and film study in an RPO-focused offense while overseeing academic success programs aimed at supporting first-year student-athletes. His recruiting responsibilities included Northern Louisiana and the Dallas/Fort Worth area.Â
During the 2018 season, Parks coached the offensive line and served as Video Coordinator at Northern State University, in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He oversaw all aspects of offensive line development while managing daily film operations for practices and games and recruiting the Southern Minnesota and Twin Cities region.Â
From 2015 to 2017, Parks was the Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach at Dakota Wesleyan University. During his tenure, the offense averaged over 500 yards and 39 points per game, produced two GPAC Offensive Players of the Year, and logged more than 900 hours of annual team community service.Â
Parks began his collegiate coaching career at the University of Montana Western, where he spent five seasons coaching the offensive line and one season coaching the defensive line after transitioning directly from a playing career. He later continued his development at the University of Jamestown as the Run Game Coordinator, Offensive Line Coach, and Video Coordinator, developing multiple All-Conference linemen on both sides of the ball.Â
Parks holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology from Southern Arkansas University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Montana Western.Â
