The Rangers took on Lubbock Christian in a non-conference match-up in Lubbock, Texas previously where the Chaparrals were able to take down Northwestern by a final score of 4-0. LCU was able to get on the board first in the contest in the 15th minute and was able to get their second goal just before halftime. Lubbock Christian continued their strong play against the black-and-red in the second half, as they would net two more goals midway through the second half to claim the victory at 4-0 over Northwestern.
