ALVA, Okla. - Northwestern Oklahoma State Volleyball was able to pull out the victory over Great American Conference foe Henderson State Friday evening in a 3-2 win.
Individual Leaders- Hayley Brattain and Nora To'omalatai both led the black-and-red in overall kills with 13 total. Natalie Fahey also added 12 kills for the Ranger offensive attack.
- Bailey Cook aided the defensive effort by adding two total blocks for the Rangers.
- Carley Geer was also a force on the defensive side of the ball as she totaled 20 digs for Northwestern.
- Kaydee Yukawa went on to lead the Rangers in assists with 36 in the match.
- Fahey also added a match high five service aces to her stat line.
Game Changer- Northwestern had a strong opening two sets as they held the 2-0 advantage over the Reddies early on in this match.
- That momentum however was quickly turned over to the visitors who were able to claim sets three and four for themselves.
- The black-and-red came out swinging in the fifth and final set as three straight Ranger kills and multiple Reddie errors gave Northwestern the early 8-2 advantage.
- The Rangers were able to seal the victory in the match on a service ace by To'omalatai to take the set at 15-5.
News & Notes- The Rangers finished with a final stat line of: 65 kills, 10 Aces, 62 assists, and 60 digs.
