- Bethany, Okla. Bethany, Okla. – Northwestern Oklahoma State cruised to victory over the Crimson Storm of Southern Nazarene off a banner day by three Rangers,
Horatio Smith,
Reid Miller and
Zachry Doyle. The Black-and-Red took home their 11th win over SNU 49-20.
Individual Leaders- Miller had a stellar day under center, throwing for 293 yards and six touchdowns to lead the offensive attack. The six touchdowns through the air tied the single game Northwestern record also.
- Smith had a banner day hauling in four touchdown passes, tying him for the all-time Northwestern single game record, previously held by Korey Williams.
- Doyle became the first Ranger rusher to eclipse the century mark, running for 136 yards and a score.
- Shane Collins and Chris Ladd both came down with interceptions on the night, bringing the Northwestern total on the year to 13.
Game Changers- With three minutes and change to go in the first half the Rangers opened it up to 21-10, and the scores came in bunches after that. Just before the end of the first half, Smith pulled in his fourth TD of the day to make it an 18-point game.
- Doyle was a game changer himself as he rushed for a solid 136 yards on the day with a touchdown.
News & Notes- Smith tied a school record for receiving touchdowns in a single game with four, but broke the record for most receiving TD's in a half by any Ranger.
- Miller broke the All-Time single season passing TD's record, which was previously 20. After a six TD night, Reid is now in the driver's seat with 25, with three games remaining on the schedule. His six touchdown passes also ties the Northwestern single game record as well.
- Doyle had a tremendous game, rushing for 136 yards on the night. He's the first Ranger to top the century mark on the year.
