- ADA, Okla. ADA, Okla. – In a highly contested battle between in-state rivals, East Central finished off the Northwestern Oklahoma State football team, but the Rangers fought hard throughout and had a couple of opportunities to tie it up, but came up short in the end.
Individual Leaders- Reid Miller threw for 364 yards and four touchdowns on 42-of-69 passing.
- Zachry Doyle had 58 yards on the ground to lead the rushing attack for Northwestern, while Miller rushed for 43 yards.
- Jordan Norris had an outstanding game in the secondary as he pulled in two interceptions, one of which led to a touchdown. The two interceptions brought his season count to four.
- Devin Peyton led the way in tackles this evening with 10.
- Justin Schanbacher caught five passes for 93 yards.
- Justin Lord also had an outstanding game, catching six passes for 63 yards and two scores.
Game Changers- As the Northwestern offense put up a big amount of yards, they also surrendered the ball a lot with seven interceptions.
- Every time the Northwestern offense made some noise and found the endzone, the Tigers had an answer.
- The Rangers climbed within five points with nine minutes and change left to play, but an 80 yard touchdown pass from East Central closed the door on the Rangers.
News & Notes- The most points the Rangers have scored on East Central since the 2000 season.
- 10 different receivers caught passes on the night with three of the 10 scoring.
- 23 different defensive players recorded tackles tonight with six having five or more.
- The two interceptions by Norris brings his season count to four.
