Rangers Take Down Savage Storm, 3-2

ALVA, Okla. - Northwestern Oklahoma State Volleyball took down Southeastern Oklahoma State Friday evening by a final score of 3-2 (25-22, 21-25, 25-16, 15-25 and 15-12).

Individual Leaders

Nora To'omalatai led the Rangers in kills with 17 total in the match. Natalie Fahey added 14 kills of her own for the Ranger offense as well.
Asia Pipkin aided the defensive effort with 15 digs.
Lachelle Purrier added three total blocks on the Northwestern defensive side of the ball.
Kaydee Yukawa would lead the black-and-red in total assists on the night with 32.

Game Changer

The opening set was an intense battle throughout most of the action as Northwestern was able to come away with the set one victory by a score of 25-22. The following set was just as close as each team traded points before the Savage Storm claimed set two, 25-21.
The black-and-red was able to regain the momentum and control set number three, as two 3-0 runs late in the contest saw Rangers win this one 25-16. These two teams continued to trade set victories as the Savage Storm controled set number four, taking it by a final of 25-15.
Northwestern and Southeastern traded 3-0 runs in the fifth and final set but solid play late by the Rangers led them to the 3-2 victory in the end.
