Rangers Fall to East Central, 3-1

ADA, Okla. - Northwestern Oklahoma State Volleyball was defeated by the East Central Tigers Saturday afternoon by a final score of 3-1 (16-25, 23-25, 25-20, and 19-25).

Individual Leaders

Ashanti Banks led the Rangers total kills with 12 in the match.
Korina Lillard aided the defensive effort with 12 digs and Asia Pipkin contributed 11 as well.
Pipkin added two total blocks on the Northwestern defensive side of the ball.
Kaydee Yukawa would lead the black-and-red in total assists on the day with 19 and Vanessa Maile added 18 assists of her own.

Game Changer

The opening set saw the Tigers come out swinging as they took set one, 25-16. The Rangers fought back in set two however but fell short as East Central claimed the second set of the match by a score of 25-23.
The black-and-red rallied back in set number three on an early 4-0 run to give the Rangers the lead and closed the set out on a 3-0 run to win it 25-20.
East Central created multiple 3-0 runs in the fourth set to see their way to victory by a score of 25-19 and would take the match at 3-1.

Up Next

Northwestern Oklahoma State Volleyball will be back in action on Thursday, Nov. 12 as they return home to take on arch rival Southwestern Oklahoma State in the final contest of the 2015 regular season in Percefull Fieldhouse at 7 p.m. which will also be senior night.
