Rangers Fall to Rival Southwestern in GAC Opener

WEATHERFORD, Okla. - Northwestern Oklahoma State Women's Soccer was taken down in their 2015 Great American Conference opener by arch rival Southwestern Oklahoma State Tuesday afternoon in Weatherford, Okla. by a final score of 2-0.

Individual Leaders

Five total Rangers, Kaitlin Bell, Kelsey Henneha, Andrea Palacios, Arlet Polack, and Kendra Wallace, all went on to complete the match with one shot apiece during the contest.
Goalkeeper Briana Legaspi finished the afternoon with 13 total saves.
The shots by Henneha, Palacios, and Wallace each were all shots on goal as well.

Game Changer

Southwestern saw two goals find the back of the net quickly in the second half of play during the match-up as each was scored minutes within one another at the 54:00 and 58:00 minute marks.

News & Notes

This was the first Great American Conference contest for Women's Soccer in the 2015 season.
This was Ranger goalkeeper Legaspi's fifth straight match with 11 or more saves.
