Women's Soccer Opens Up Season On The Road Against Northeastern State

ALVA, Okla. - Northwestern Oklahoma State Women's Soccer (0-0, 0-0 GAC) will travel to Tahlequah, Okla. to face non-conference foe Northeastern State (0-0, 0-0 MIAA) in their opening match of the 2015 season.

This will be the first match of the new season for both the Rangers and the Riverhawks as they will kick-off tomorrow evening, September 4th at 5:30 p.m.

LAST MEETING: 9/9/2014 - Northeastern State 1 - Northwestern 3

The Rangers took down the Riverhwaks of Northeastern State a year ago by a final score of 3-1 in a home contest in Alva. Northwestern was able to net an early goal in the first half to give them a slight edge heading into the second period of play. The Riverhawks tied things up however midway through the second half but a late barrage of goals lifted the black-and-red over Northeastern State by a score of 3-1.
