LADY RANGERS CONTROL THE CRIMSON STORM

Alva, OKLA. - Northwestern Oklahoma State University volleyball recorded their second conference win against the Crimson Storm of Southern Nazarene University (8-9, 2-2 GAC) in sweeping fashion 3-0 [25-21,25-23,25-22].

The second set would be the most exciting0 set of the night as neither team could stay on top and hold the lead. After a back-and-forth battle to start, a lead was finally established by Southern Nazarene as they would go up on Northwestern 12-16.

The Lady Rangers kept their composure and scored four straight to tie the game up again with help from Senior Hannah Williams, scoring two of her five set kills. The two teams would tie the set up yet again at 23-23, but Williams stayed tuned in, scoring back-to-back kills to put the Lady Rangers up in the match 2-0.

Northwestern took their momentum into their third set, yet Southern Nazarene had no plans of going away so easily. Tied at 11-11, several attack errors from the Crimson Storm proved costly, giving the Lady Rangers a lead they would control the rest of the set, winning 25-22 and sweeping Southern Nazarene 3-0.

Freshman Dani Dagley led the team on defense with 17 digs and Brooklynn Hesson had a team-high in kills racking up 11 kills.
