Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

SOCCER FALLS 3-0 TO HARDING IN LITTLE ROCK

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Coming off its first win of the season last week, Northwestern Oklahoma State women's soccer suffered a 3-0 setback to the Harding University Bisons (2-5-1, 2-1-0 GAC). After heavy rains in Searcy, the Rangers (1-5-1, 1-2-0 GAC) were held off the score sheet in a game that was moved to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock's home field.

The Rangers found themselves playing from behind for after a strong Harding squad scored just eight minutes into the contest. Despite putting up two goals in their win against ECU, the Ranger offense sputtered as they could only get off six shots.

Kiara Fontanilla made her second consecutive start in goal for the red-and-black, facing 18 shots while making six saves.

Northwestern's lone shot on goal came off the foot of Calvonis Prentice in the 65th minute, forcing Harding keeper Jessica Woessner to make her only save of the evening.

Harding would score twice in a little over three minutes in the second half to extend its lead to 3-0, a deficit the Rangers couldn't overcome.

The Rangers will have Friday off before traveling to Arkadelphia for a match against Ouachita Baptist Saturday, September 29. Due to unplayable field conditions at Ouachita, the game has been moved to Arkadelphia High School and is slated for a 2 p.m. start.
