RANGERS COME UP SHORT IN 2-0 DECISION AT OUACHITA

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Northwestern Oklahoma State women's soccer wrapped up the tail end of a two-game road swing through Arkansas Saturday as it dropped its match to the Ouachita Baptist Tigers by a final score of 2-0. The Rangers offense was held off the score sheet for a second straight contest.

The Tigers scored twice in a span of six minutes to take a two-goal lead in the first half. After Ashlyn Heckmann opened the scoring in the 29th minute, Bryson Thomas followed up with a goal of her own to extend the deficit.

Northwestern took four shots in the game, with its best chance coming in the 52nd minute as Yazmin Gomez' shot forced the Ouachita keeper to make her only save. Freshman goalkeeper Reagan Allen made her fourth start in net and recorded five saves in the loss.

The Rangers will return home to the friendly confines of the Alva Rec Complex when they take on the Oklahoma Baptist Bison Thursday, October 4 for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
