FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Camille Lear of the Northwestern Oklahoma State University women's cross country team moves up the NWOSU record books at the 31st Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival, hosted by the University of Arkansas.
Lear moves into the top-10 times list finishing with a time of 20:49.5, as she continues to improve each time out. Lear now sits with the 10th best finish in Northwestern history. Lear is the second current Ranger to crack the top-10 this season, joining Jasmin Garcia, who currently holds the eighth best time.
The Black-and-Red's next finisher was Mariah Malloy with crossed with a time of 21:02.9, Madison Meyer and Jessalyn Rivet-Tissot finished together, Meyer ended with a time of 21:20.1, while Rivet-Tissot clocked 21:20.5.
Briley Yunker rounded out Northwestern's top-five scorers at the Chile Pepper Festival finishing with a time of 22:20.4.
NWOSU's additional runners were Zoe Moorman (23:01.8), Yvonne Landeros (23:51.4), Garcia (24:45.9), Abrianna Orona (26:28.5), Jean Dodds (26:29.0) and Savannah Francis (28:00.0).
The Rangers will travel to Hays, Kan. for the Fort Hays State Tiger Open next Saturday.
