ALVA, OKLA- The Red-and-Black returned home to play against the Bison of Oklahoma Baptist to continue conference play. The Rangers dropped the match to the Bison Thursday evening 2-1. The Bison took advantage in the first half to put two points up on the scoreboard.

The Bison had 19 shots with 10 being on target. The Rangers had eight shots with five being on target.

Abby Nunez and Tiara Campbell both had two shots. Callie Haneborg, Isabella Mcmillan, and Cynthia Armas all with one shot. Campbell scored the lone goal for the Rangers.
The Bison would get on the board early in the first half. Hannah White got her goal in the fifth minute of play by a deflected ball bouncing off her face into the lower right corner of the net.

The Rangers answered right back in the 11th minute of play to tie the game 1-1. Carlie Massingale crossed the ball diagonally into the running path of Campbell. On the run, Campbell powered the ball into the upper part of the net.

The Third goal of the match came from Bison forward Tori Kitchel in the 28th minute in the first half. Kitchel received the ball from Kimmy Mckinney and found the lower left part of the goal, putting the Bison ahead 2-1.

The Bison led the Rangers into halftime 2-1.

The second half of the game had a slow start with both teams keeping possession. The Rangers and the Bison were both playing smart by keeping the ball on the ground and moving it around with pace. The Rangers had a breakaway from Campbell in the last 10 minutes of the game. Campbell received the ball from the defense and turned towards the Bison goal. With speed, Campbell dribbled it from half field into the six-yard box, but Bison goalkeeper Ireland Jeffrey dove and collected the ball.

"It is disappointing to lose at home – but credit to OBU they played a good game. We liked a lot of things that we did tonight, and we just need to continue to be sharper in critical moments. We are looking forward to continuing to learn and grown from this" said head coach Alex Piekarski.

The Rangers are back on the road as they travel to Bethany, OK on Oct. 16th to face off against the Crimson Storm of Southern Nazarene University. Kick-off will begin 1 PM.
