Rangers With Big Road Win Over Ouachita Baptist

 Arkadelphia, AR- The Rangers were looking to bounce back after a tough loss against Harding University on Oct. 7th in Searcy, Arkansas. The Rangers did just that as they traveled to Arkadelphia, AR, to battle against the Tigers of Ouachita Baptist winning 1-0 over the Tigers.

The Rangers were coming in strong, looking to get a result out of this afternoon's game. Northwestern got on the board early in the first half with a goal in the 16th minute of play and would not let the lead go taking full advantage playing with the lead,

The Rangers improve on their season to 7-2-1 (2-1-1 GAC), and the Tigers drop to 6-3-1 (3-2 GAC).   

Tiara Campbell scored the winning goal for the Rangers, which Abby Nunez assisted.   

The Tigers outshot the Rangers 13-12 with only having two shots on goal. The Rangers had seven shots on target.   

The Rangers had different players taking chances by shooting in the game. Nunez with three shots, one was resulting on target. Isabella Mcmillan and Cynthia Armas with two shots in the game, both being on target. Campbell's only shot on target was the game-winning goal.  

Reagan Allen with her third shutout of the season! Allen was faced with two shots on target.   

In the 31st minute of play, Tigers Gracen Turner had a good look on target as Allen blocked her shot. Jamie Fowler followed up the shot by shooting it high and off-target.   

The Ranger's defense held down their half of the field by not letting the Tigers get many shots on target this afternoon. The Rangers' defense kept the ball inbounds by only allowing the Tigers to have three corner kicks throughout the match.   

"After a really disappointing result on Thursday, we are very pleased with how our team responded today. It was a difficult game for us but a well-earned 3 points for our team today," said head coach Alex Piekarski.  

The Rangers are back in action on their home field on Oct. 14th as they face off against the Bison on Oklahoma Baptist. The kick-off will be at 6:00 PM.
