Alva, Okla - The Northwestern Lady Rangers hosted the Thunder of Manhattan Christian on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Rangers won their second straight game, after scoring over the century mark for the second straight time this season. Northwestern opened the game on a 16-4 run and never looked back following a 134-27 victory.

Andi Pierce and Jill Ingram led the Lady Rangers with 15 points, followed by Bailey Brown and Carly Craig each with 12 points on the win. Carlie Badley led the team with 8 rebounds and Craig with 9 assists for the team lead followed Zoe Cornett with four assists and four players with three assists.Â
"It was great to get everyone involved tonight. The scoring was very balanced and everyone contributed to the win" stated head coach Tasha Diesselhorst following the victory Saturday.

First Quarter:

The Lady Rangers got off to an early start in the first quarter leading the Thunder 41-6. Kes Reeves led the team with 12 points, Kinsey Neiderer with 3 rebounds. Andi Pierce got the quarter started with a three point basket assisted by Craig. Craig would get her second lay up early by receiving the ball from Camille Thomas, passing it to Bailey Brown making a solid layup. Manhattan player Jordan Lewis would get her team on the board with a layup a minute into the game. Northwestern would push their lead to over 20 in the opening quarter following a three pointer by Reeves to give the Rangers a 26-4 lead. Northwestern would push their lead to 30 in the opening quarter before take a 35 point lead into the second quarter at 41-6.

Second Quarter:

Northwestern came out strong in the second quarter as Brown made back-to-back layups assisted by Thomas and Lizzie Shephard. The Rangers continued their intensity throughout the second quarter getting plenty of production off the bench as the Lady Rangers would finish with 77 points in the game. Craig, Kynsey Dixon, and Aubrey Ritter all made a three point basket in the second quarter. Thomas led with three steals throughout the quarter. With two minutes left in the quarter, Josena Frame stole the ball and dribbled down the court leading the fast break for a layup. At the end of the quarter, the Rangers lead 74-13.

Third Quarter:

The third quarter started off with Badley going to the foul line making one of two foul shots. This would start a 21-0 run by the Lady Rangers with a wide spread scoring throughout the run as Brown, Cornett each had four points with three others following with three. Shephard scores the first three pointer in the first three minutes, shortly after Dixon made her first three of the quarter. Pierce broke 100 for the Rangers by making a three point shot, her first of the quarter. At the end of the third quarter, the Rangers lead 107-17 over the Thunder.

Fourth Quarter

Manhattan Christian opened the final quarter with the first two points before Northwestern went on a 21-0 run in the fourth. Ingram lead the Rangers with 10 points on the run to open a 128-20 lead pushing to lead to over 100. Anna Motycka made her first three pointer of the season on the run. The Rangers made it a 100 point game with five minutes left in the quarter. The Rangers rounded out the game with another home victory 134-27. The Lady Rangers defense allowed 27 points for the whole game after tremendous defense forcing 37 turnovers. Tonight was the largest victory in Northwestern history with the 107 point win.

The Rangers return home on Nov. 23rd to play against Oklahoma Christian looking to push their winning streak to three straight on this four game home stand. Â
