Shawnee, Okla – Northwestern Rangers traveled to Shawnee, Oklahoma, to play against the Bison of Oklahoma Baptist to wrap up regular-season for the 2021 season. The Rangers fell to the Bison 4-1 as Oklahoma Baptist would use a strong second half to win the game after three second-half goals.

The Rangers drop to 11-5-2 (5-4-2 in GAC) as the Bison improved 11-5-1 (10-2 in GAC). The Bison outshot the Rangers 27-10 with having 12 shots being on target for the Bison.

Kailani Kealoha and Tiara Campbell led the Rangers with two shots each, with one on target. Cynthia Armas had one shot throughout the game that was on target. Reilly Marks and Isabella Mcmillan both had one shot each.

In the first 18 minutes of play, the Rangers got on the board with a goal by Campbell, assisted by Callie Haneborg and Mcmillan. Haneborg stayed on her feet as she beat three Bison players in the center of the field. Haneborg found Mcmillan wide left, who crossed the ball into the six-yard box and found the head of Campbell. Campbell headed the ball into the back of the net. 

In the 34th minute, the Bison answered back with a goal by Hannah White, where she found the lower center back of the net. The late goal in the first half would tie the score going into the break.

The Rangers are the Bison went into halftime tied 1-1.

The Bison would get their second and third goal in the 63rd and 66th minute of play in the second half of the game starting the second half strong to gain the early edge.

The fourth goal from the Bison came from bouncing around in front of the Ranger goal before going off a Ranger player in the 84th minute.

Oklahoma Baptist would hold onto that score for a 4-1 victory over the Rangers to conclude the regular season.

The Rangers travel to Weatherford, OK, as they start the Great American Conference tournament on Thursday, Nov. 11th, where they will face off against the Bison. The kickoff time is still to be determined but will be updated upon the information being released.
