The Rangers are defeated by ATU on Sunday

ALVA, Okla. – Northwestern Oklahoma State fall to Arkansas Tech on Sunday, in game three of the series 14-5 at the Ranger Softball Field in the Alva Recreation Complex.
 
NWOSU falls to 8-28 overall and 3-27 in the Great American Conference.
 
The Rangers connected for six hits; Kailin Lian and Lindsey McElroy each had two, while Kelsey Bushey and Kalie Johnson had a hit.
 
McElroy drove in two runs for Northwestern, then Bushey, Hannah Howell, and Lian each accounted for an RBI.
 
Hannah Scoggin would start throwing 4.2 innings. Scoggin would return to retire the final out in the fifth inning, for 5.0 innings total pitched in the game. She would be saddled with the loss after allowing seven runs, six earned, on eight hits with three strikeouts; with the loss, she falls to 1-13 on the season.
 
Allie Hufford would come in and allow three runs, on three hits, before being replaced by Howell. Howell surrendered four runs on four hits. 
 
Arkansas Tech would take a 2-0 lead in the top of the third. 
 
The Red-and-Black would respond, getting a run in the bottom half of the inning. Lian would single down the line in right, Kameron Ryer would come into pinch run, Brianna Wisby would connect on a sacrifice bunt to move Ryer to second, she would move to third on a passed ball. Howell would drive Ryer in with a sac fly to right-center, making the score 2-1 in favor of the visitors after three innings.
 
Tech would answer back to take a 3-1 lead in the top of the fourth. 
 
The Rangers would tie the game with two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Allison Zanca would walk to lead off the inning, followed by an infield single by McElroy. Jayden Solberg would have a productive at-bat, advancing the runners to second and third with a sac bunt. Bushey would drive in Zanca with a single through the right side, and Lian would single down the left-field line to score McElroy.
 
For the second time after the Red-and-Black score, the Golden Suns would respond. Arkansas Tech would rally, scoring 11 runs in the top of the fifth inning, taking a 14-3 lead.
 
In the bottom of the fifth, Johnson would reach on an error, then McElroy would connect for a two-run homerun just fair, down the line in left, to make the final score 14-5 in favor of ATU.
