ALVA, Okla.- Following the 2021 season, Rangers baseball continues to receive postseason accolades. Blake Hoffman is the latest Northwestern player on this team, receiving NCBWA First Team All-Central Region Team announced by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. 
 

Hoffman earned the First-Team recognition representing the the team as the designated hitter on the first team, following finishing the season hitting .443 along with nineteen extra-base hits of his forty-seven total. He finished the year with ten home runs and 21-RBI on the season in 29 starts with 34 total games played. Along with being the Rangers designated hitter, the junior saw time at first base and pitching. 
 

The Colony Texas native earns first-team honors after making the Great American Conference second team a week ago. 

Hoffman is the first Ranger to earn first all central since Johnnuelle Ponce in 2019 and the third Rangers' player since 2014. 
 

Hoffman was the only Northwestern player to make the all-central team and was one of eleven players represented by the Great American Conference.
