Box Score Wayne, Neb- The Rangers continued their road trip Sunday after a 1-0 victory over the University of Nebraska at Kearney this past Friday, Sept. 10th. The Rangers faced off against the Wayne State Wildcats, for game three of the four game road trip, and blew past them with a 4-1 win. The Rangers progress to a 3-1 record on the season as the Wildcats record drops to 0-2-1.
A variety of Rangers got a good look at the goal this afternoon as freshman Tiara Campbell had two shots, resulting in two goals. This marks Campbell's second two goal performance of the season. Sophomore Callie Haneborg had one shot, resulting in a goal.
 Rangers' Freshman Isabella Mcmillan finished the match with one goal and one assist in the match. Junior Cynthia Armas tallied three shots along with one assist, as senior Kailani Kealoha finished with one shot, along with senior Abby Nunez. Reagan Allen was faced with eight shots, but only four of those being on target.
The Wildcats capitalized on their chances early in the game as they went into halftime with a 1-0 lead. Megan Philips scored the Wildcats' lone goal of the game in the first half for her second of the season during the 43rd minute of the match.Â
Mcmillan scored her first collegiate goal in the 64th minute to tie the game 1-1. Haneborg also scored her first collegiate goal in the 77th minute to put the Rangers in front of the Wildcats, leading them 2-1.
The Rangers outshot the Wildcats with nine shots, seven of those being on target. The Wildcats had eight shots, with four of those being on target.Â
The Rangers went into halftime with their head held high. The Rangers came out fast and dangerous by scoring multiple goals back-to-back. After the first goal, scored by Mcmillan, gave the Rangers the right amount of momentum that they needed to continue to score and win the game.
Ranger's defense held their ground and stood strong to keep the Wildcats from finding the back of the net in the second half. The Rangers had a variety of different players on the backline that kept the momentum in the Red-and-Black's favor throughout the second half until the final seconds of the match.
 The win marks Northwestern's third straight on the season as the Rangers will travel to Goodwell, Oklahoma next to play against Oklahoma Panhandle State University on Sept. 15th at 7 PM. The Rangers are looking to have their fourth consecutive win of the season!
