Rangers Tie For The First Time In Conference

Alva, Oklahoma - The Rangers host their fourth conference game of the season against Harding University. The Rangers and Bison played ninety minutes for a scoreless match, ending in a 0-0 tie. This moves the Rangers to 4-4-2 and the Bison to 1-7-2.

It was a cool eighty degrees early on Saturday morning when the Rangers would face the Bison. In the first half, the Rangers outshot the Bison thirteen to three, with four shots on goal. The Rangers had majority of the possession in the first half and had numerous opportunities on the Bison's keeper but were unable to find the back on the net. The Ranger's keeper Rachel Brown would only have to make two saves throughout the half. 

Moving into the second half, the Rangers would find more opportunities on the Bison with seven shots on goal and nine shots in total for the second half. The Ranger offense worked tirelessly to concede just one goal to be up on the Bison but were unable to find the back of the net. Meanwhile, the Ranger defense dominated at keeping the ball from making it into the Bison's attacking third. In total the Rangers had twenty two shots while the Bison only had seven throughout the ninety minute match. 

Next week the Rangers will host Southern Nazarene University on Thursday at 6:00pm on the Alva Recreation Complex Ranger soccer field.
