Weatherford, Oklahoma - The Rangers traveled to Weatherford to play in the semifinals of the GAC Championships. The Rangers faced their rival Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and fell to them 1-0. Southwestern struck late in the first half before holding that lead through the second half.The Rangers finish the entire season with a record of 7-5-7 overall. 

The Ranger defense and goal keeper Rachel Brown truly worked their hardest to keep the Bulldogs out of the net. Brown saved five shots in the first half and only allowed one in, thirty six minutes into the match, before Southwestern struck with the first goal of the game finding the back of the net. This kept the Bulldogs at 1-0 going into half time after Brown made multiple saves late in the half.

In the second half, the Rangers were not able to find the back of the net but did manage to get two shots on the Bulldogs. Brown saved and additional five shots from the Bulldogs in the second half. Northwestern strung a couple chances together in the second half but were unable to take advantage. This kept the score at 1-0 until the final blow of the whistle as the Rangers dropped the conference playoff opener.

With the win Southwestern moves on the face Oklahoma Baptist in the conference tournament championship Saturday morning with kickoff set for 11:00 AM
