Arkadelphia, Ark. - In their last game of the two day Arkansas road trip, The Lady Rangers fell to The Reddies of Henderson State 87-78. A late fourth quarter 8-0 run by Henderson State allowed them to take the lead as they went onto hold the lead after sealing the win at the foul line.

The Lady Rangers dropped to 9-8 conference record and a 13-10 overall record. Henderson State advances to 14-10 on the season and 9-9 in conference.Â

Bailey Brown led them with 31 points followed by Carly Craig with 21. Craig shot 5-6 from the three point line and Brown went 12-12 at the free throw line for The Rangers. Scout Frame and Brown led in rebounds with 8. Brown also led in assists with 7.Â

1st Quarter: The Henderson State Reddies went on a 5-0 run within the opening minutes of play against The Lady Rangers. Bailey Brown ended their early run with a three point play from a layup and free throw. Scout Frame contributed two more layups for Northwestern to tie the game 7-7. The Reddies responded with two free throws and a three pointer to take the lead. Carly Craig fired off a three pointer to close the gap. Brown contributed another made layup. A free throw by Frame left The Lady Rangers trailing by two 15-17. The Reddies responded with a three pointer going back up five. Craig fired off another three point jumper with twenty seconds left to tie the game up before the second quarter at 20-20 to end the opening quarter.Â

2nd Quarter: A three point jumper out of the quarter break by The Reddies allowed them to gain the lead. Craig responded with a jumper. Both teams continued to battle back and forth exchanging point for point. Off the bench, senior Kes Reeves contributed a three pointer. Henderson State responded by firing off another three pointer. Craig added an additional three pointer. Brown's back to back layup and jumper combined with S.Frames layup allowed The Lady Rangers to gain the lead before going into halftime 39-38. Brown led the team in points the first half with 18 followed by Craig with 11. S.Frame led in rebounds with 5. Brown also led in assists with 4.Â

3rd Quarter: The Lady Rangers struck first out of halftime with a three pointer by Craig. The Reddies quickly fired back with a hookshot and a three pointer, putting them in the lead once more. Josena Frame responded with a jumper to close the gap for The Lady Rangers. Craig contributed another three pointer to tie the game again 47-47. J.Frame added an additional jumper to put Northwestern ahead by two. S.Frame contributed a layup on a fast break off a steal to extend The Ranger lead to four. The Reddies responded with two back to back layups to quickly tie the game. Reeves sank two free throws for Henderson State. A three pointer with three seconds left by Reddies pushed them in front going into the final quarter 62-59.

4th Quarter: The Reddies responded with a pullup jumper to extend their lead in the opening minutes of the fourth. Kinsey Neiderer contributed another two free throws to close the gap. Two back to back layups by Brown closed the gap to a two point Ranger deficit. However, The Henderson State Reddies continued their momentum with a layup that jump-started a late 8-0 run to put the Rangers out of reach. Brown ended their run with two free throws. The Reddies responded with a driving layup. S.Frame contributed a layup and Craig fired off another three pointer with one minute of the game remaining. The Reddies responded with multiple made free throws to secure the win over The Lady Rangers 87-78.

This game concluded the two day road trip for Northwestern. They return to action this Tuesday for a make-up game against Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Tip off is set for 5:30 PM in Weatherford, the first of three games this upcoming week.
