ENID, OKLAHOMA - The Ranger Baseball team will host East Central at David Allen Memorial Ballpark Tuesday for the annual Hot Dogs & Apple Pie baseball game hosted by NWOSU Foundation and Alumni Association. This will be the fourth game of the season for Northwestern against East Central as the Rangers look for the season sweep after sweeping the three game series earlier this season. First Pitch is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
Northwestern (16-21 overall and 10-14 GAC) enters the mid-week game after winning the final game of the three game series against Oklahoma Baptist. Overall the Rangers are 2-3 in the last five games.
The Ranger offense has been led by Yugo Hamakawa through the first half of the season with a .408 batting average and a .513 OBP%. He is one of four hitters batting over .300 for Northwestern as Brandon Holdren is hitting .353, Blake Hoffman .345, and Shaughn Kelly at .307. Hoffman leads the team with 10 home runs with 42 RBIs on the year, both team highs. Kelly is second with seven home runs with Hamakawa and Hayden Priest tied with six. Hamakawa is second in RBIs with 34 on the season.Â
On the mound for the Rangers Edwin Colon has thrown 22.1 innings with a 5-1 record and a 3.22 ERA out of the bullpen. Ethan Swanson leads the team with 57 strikeouts on the year, with Emilio Lovato second with 51 this season. Colon's five wins are the most on the team with Dylan Collins second with four this season. Lovato leads the team with 50 innings thrown this season.Â
Scouting the Tigers:
East Central enters Tuesday with a 4-31 overall record and a 3-21 conference record. They are 2-13 total on the road with a 0-2 record on neutral fields. They are coming over a series win over Southern Nazarene two games to three.Â
Mason Glowacki leads the Tigers with a .358 batting average as one of four players hitting above .300 for the Tigers. He is joined by Tanner Collins, Christian Whitaker, Colton Schaper-Kotter. Whitaker leads the team with five home runs and a team high 24-RBIs. Eric Towsley is second with four home runs.
On the mound Bryan Terry leads the Tigers with two wins this season with a 9.19 ERA in 47 innings of work. Koby Midgley has thrown the only complete game for the Tigers this season and has thrown 41 innings, the second most on the team.Â

Northwestern leads the series history 13-9 overall in the 22 games since 2015. After taking three straight games and a series sweep overall back in March. Overall the Rangers have won five consecutive games over the Tigers dating back to the 2021 season.Â
