ALVA, OKLAHOMA - Northwestern returned home for a single game against the Riverhawks Tuesday afternoon. Northeastern won the game 18-11 behind a four run second inning to jump out early on the Rangers.

In the opening inning Freeman led off the game with a single before Potts picked him off at first. The inning ended with no runs scored through the first.

The Riverhawk offense broke through in the second inning as Dunlap singled before a Kingensm walked putting the first runner in scoring position. Graff doubled home the first two runs of the game as Dunalp and Klingensm scored. Freeman followed with an RBI double to score Graff and give the visitors a 3-0 lead. Brothers singled home the final run of the inning.

Northwestern broke through in the bottom half of the inning as Shaughn Kelly doubled followed by a Koenig single, setting up Priest for a three run home run to left field as he cut the Ranger deficit to 4-3.

In the third inning Northeastern was able to extend their lead with a solo home run by White pushing their lead to 5-3. In the second inning Potts struck out the side leaving it at one run.

The fourth inning the pitchers retired both sides in order as the game remained 5-3 through four innings.

Riverhawks extended their lead in the fifth after Freeman led off with a single before Brothers extended the lead to 7-3 on a 2-run home run. After a stolen base placed Reller in scoring position White singled him home for a 8-3 Riverhawk lead.

The Red-and-Black put the first three runners of the inning on base as Bryan Guerrero singled through the left side for an RBI single. Erickson followed with an RBI single to score Frisby as the Rangers cut their deficit to 8-5. Hoffman grounded into a fielder's choice, scoring two runs with one on an error from the throw.

The sixth inning Northeastern added three more runs as Klingensm and Freeman started the inning with singles before a three run blast by Reller extended the lead to 11-7 over the Rangers. Northwestern looked to answer back, drawing two walks and a single to load the bases but a strikeout followed by a groundout had the Riverhawks escaping the inning with no damage done.

Following a leadoff double, Kaiser reached and drove in a run off a Ranger error to take a 12-7 lead. The game remained that way until the ninth inning when ten runs were scored between the two teams. White singled to start the inning before a Rodden home run extended their lead to 14-7. After a walk and hit by pitch led to a Graff three run shot to left field to make it a 17-7 game. The Riverhawks added one more run to go to the bottom of the ninth with the Rangers trailing 18-7.

Chase Orrock started the rally with a double into the left field gap. Norsen was hit by a pitch before a Kelly single drove in the first run of the game with a single to make it 18-8.
