BETHEL - The Ranger Men's Cross Country team competed at Bethel College today for their third meet of the season. Northwestern finished second overall in the meet with two top five finishers and three in the top 10.
Christian Franklin was the top finisher for the Rangers placing second overall in the meet. Franklin finished with a time of 25:19.93. He was followed by Salat Ibrahim in fifth in the meet with a time of 26:48.86.
Riley Herndon was third for Northwestern placing seventh overall in the meet with a final time of 27:00.98. The Rangers finished with one other in the top 15 and that was Basheer Suied placing 12th in the meet for a final time of 27:34.56.
There were three in the next five into the top 20 as Zachary Cox was 16th, Hunter Bellis 17th, and Brandon Adolphus finished in 18th. Cox ran a 27:59.89 as Bellis finished at 28:01.81 and Adolphus at 28:03.52.
The next three for the Rangers were 22nd, 24th, and 27th as Edward Robledo-Gonzalez ran a 28:08.02 followed by Jeremy Smith at 28:24.87 and Muneer Suied at 28:42.08.
Elmer Sotelo finished with a marking of 30:58.71 good for 44th overall in the meet. Cooper Frymire was 50th with a final time of 31:39.60. Raziel Patton ran a 31:47.12 for 51st overall.
The next two for the Rangers was Johnathan Ylitalo, and Willem Johnson running a 34:23.67 and a 36:00.31. Ray Chavira was 92nd overall in the meet running a time of 40:44.83.
Northwestern's next meet is on September 29th in Fayetteville, Arkansas taking part in the Chile Pepper Festival.
