NORMAN, OKLAHOMA - The Northwestern Oklahoma State Men's Track and Field team competed in Norman on Saturday. The meet was hosted by Southern Nazarene on the campus of the University of Oklahoma.
Northwestern had two individuals compete in the long jump at the meet as Tommy Desir placed 29th overall with his best being 5.71m followed by Isai Aguilar placing 31st following his best of 5.59m.
In the 60M Hurdles Northwestern was led by Jayden Geathers with a best time of 8.56 as one of three Northwestern athletes to compete in the event. He competed with Jakai Coker with a time of 9.29 and Isai Aguilar with the same time.Â
Next for the Rangers was the 5000 meters as Northwestern had three competitors in the event with all three placing in the top five as Edward Robledo Gonzalez was second with a time of 16:53.72 followed by Riley Herndon in third and Aaron Medrano in fourth.Â
Northwestern had two inside the top 30 as 11 total competed in the event with the first Ranger to finish was Terrence Marfo with a time of 7.21 in the 60 meter event. Joined by Trevor Montayne who placed 27th overall in the event.
In the mile run for the Rangers had four runners in the top 15 of the meet. Led by Brandon Adolphus who paced the Rangers with a third place finish with a time of 4:32.69. He was joined by Salat Ibrahim placing 11th in the meet at 4:43.42 time, Hunter Bellis placing 13th and Crispus Atukwatse in 14th.Â
In the 200 meters Northwestern was led by Wesley Hall with a 11th place finish at a time of 23:57 followed by Derrick Taylor finishing 17th overall at a time of 24:03. The Rangers had seven total compete in this event.Â
The Rangers had three competitors in the 400meter event led by Ethan Barnes with a time of 55:58 placing 13th overall in the meet, one spot ahead of Isai Aguilar with a time of 55.64 and Caleb Morgan placed 21st with a time of 58.72.
The Rangers had one compete in the 600 yard event in Tommy Desir finishing with a time of 1:22.73 for ninth place overall getting inside the top 10.Â
Next for the Rangers was the 800 meters which featured two top 10 finishes for the Rangers first being Christian Franklin placing fourth with a time of 2:02.86 followed by Riley Herndon at 2:03.92.Â
The 3000 meters Northwestern had two top five finishers, and three placing inside the top 15. The Rangers were led by Salat Ibrahim placing fourth overall with a time of 9:12.83 and Brandon Adolphus in 5th with a time of 9:16.15.
The 4x400 relay team placed fourth overall in the meet which consisted of Trevor Montayne, Karlo Bogdan, Derrick Taylor, and Christian Franklin with a time of 3:32.32.
