SHAWNEE, Okla. – The Northwestern Oklahoma State men's track and field team finished up the OBU All-Comer's Meet hosted by Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday.
The Rangers got a win in the long jump, as
T'Antrae Thomas came in first place with a mark of 7.16m, while
Jeremiah Anderson came in eighth at 6.68m. Northwestern also dominated in the triple jump, as
Anotida Madondo won with a mark of 14.49m, with
Gavin Sharpe finishing in second at 14.17m. The third victory of the day came from
Brock Bourgeois in shot put, as he finished first at 16.25m, while Anderson won the high jump with a mark of 1.95m.
In the 200m,
Marshal Self led the Rangers with a time of 22.07, putting him in 13
th place out of 47 runners.
Alijah Roper, Aiden Bailey, and
Leonel Heredia also competed in the dash, with Roper finishing at 22.63, Bailey at 22.95, and Heredia at 23.79. All three competed in the 400m as well, with Roper placing in the top 10 at 50.54. Heredia finished at 52.97, with
Jackson Crotts not to far behind at 53.28, and Bailey at 54.34.
In the 800m,
Julian Vess and
Riley Herndon recorded top 15 finishes, as Vess got 11
th with a time of 1:59.82, while Herndon came in 13
th at 2:00.03. For the 1500m, four different Rangers placed in the top 20, as Herndon came in 11
th with a time of 4:13.05, while
Titus Ellis finished in 12
th at 4:13.19,
Andrew Scott finished in 13
th at 4:13.38, and
Cooper Bell came in 16
th at 4:15.15. For the 5000m,
Zachary Cox finished in 11
th with a time of 15:25.49, while
Andrew Scott placed 19
th at 15:53.44.
In the 110m hurdles,
Traevion White finished fifth at 15.23, and
Merric Judd came in third in the 400m hurdles at 57.59.
Coy Bullard recorded a fourth-place finish in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:22.95, while
Ethan Burns came in fifth at the javelin throw with a mark of 44.75m.
The Rangers will be back in action on April 2, when they travel to Wichita, Kansas to compete in the Friends Spring Open hosted by Friends University.
