Rangers Drop Road Game in Magnolia

 Northwestern Oklahoma State football was on the road Saturday against Southern Arkansas Muleriders. The home team Southern Arkansas jumped out quickly to a 20-0 lead before closing out the 78-0 victory.

Southern Arkansas Started their first drive after a Rangers Punt. The Muleriders used a six play 61 yard drive ending with a 4 yard rushing touchdown to take the early 7-0 lead over the Rangers. The home team was able to extend their lead to 14-0 after ending their next drive with a five yard completion ending with a passing touchdown.

The second quarter Southern Arkansas was the first to strike on a 12 yard rushing touchdown ending the 53 yard drive to take a 27-0 lead. Southern Arkansas went into halftime holding a 54-0 lead after a three yard rushing touchdown to Arkez Gomez to end the drive of 64 yards.

In the third quarter Southern Arkansas kicked a field goal on the opening drive. After Southern Arkansas started a 3 play 65 yard touchdown drive. To cap off the third Southern Arkansas had a nine play 85 yard drive resulting in a touchdown. .
This was the only score of the 3rd quarter as the Rangers trailed 71-0 heading into the final quarter. Southern Arkansas added a 41 yard rushing touchdown to push the score to 78-0.

The final score in Magnolia was 78-0, as the Rangers fell to the against Southern Arkansas Saturday afternoon.

Northwestern will be back in action on Saturday afternoon against SWOSU Bulldogs with kickoff set for 2:00 PM.
