FORT SMITH, ARKANSAS - Northwestern Oklahoma State Men's Golf concluded the Hardscrabble Invitational at the Hardscrabble Country Club hosted by Arkansas Fort Smith. The Rangers finished with a sixth place finish overall with a total of 921 (308-311-302).
The Overall team leader was Missouri Southern State with a total of 869 (284-298-287) Missouri Southern State also had the individual lead in Tradgon McCrae.
Matti Zerwin led the way for the Rangers with a final total of 225 after a low round in the first with a total of 72. Zerwin was tied for first on the Rangers for most pars in the three rounds with 31 total while adding seven birdies which was the most for Northwestern. Zerwin tied for 16th overall individually.Â
Noah Carpenter was second for the Rangers with a total of 231 with a round low coming in the final round for a 73. Carpenter had a total of 31 pars, tying the most for the Rangers overall with a total of four birdies on the tournament. This helped him place 33rd overall in the tournament.Â
The next Ranger was Davan Smith totaling 234 at the Hardscrabble Invitational with his round low in the second round with a total of 73. Smith placed 39 overall after finishing the tournament with 25 pars between the two days and five birdies.Â
Tied for 44th overall in the Invitational is Cade Seymour who finished with a total of 236 with his best round in the third and final round with a 76. The final total comes after Seymour totaled 24 pars and six birdies, the second highest for the Rangers.Â
Max Courange tied for 49th overall in the tournament and was the fifth Ranger. Courange totaled a 238 with his lowest round a 78 in the final round. Courange had 26 total pars while adding four birdies in three rounds.Â
Northwestern Men's Golf will return to action with their next tournament at the Bailey Ranch Golf Club on March 11th and 12th hosted by Rogers State.Â
