MAYETTA, KANSAS - Northwestern Oklahoma State Men's Golf closed out their regular season with a tournament hosted by Washburn University for the Firekeeper Open. The Rangers placed 11th overall in the tournament with a total of 891(296-294-301).
Overall Central Missouri won the open with a total of 845 (281-278-286). Alex Gentry led the way in the open placing first for Central Missouri with a -13 after a 203 (66-68-69).
Cade Seymour led the way for the Rangers placing tied for 25th overall with a total of 218. His best round came in round two with a 70. Seymour had 31 pars tied with four other Rangers but had a team high 11 birdies in the tournament.
Matti Zerwin was second for Northwestern finishing with a 222 after a best round of 72 coming in the first round of the tournament. This placed him tied for 42nd overall individually. Zerwin had a team high 34 pars in the tournament while having seven birdies.
Noah Carpenter placed tied for 48th overall in the tournament after finishing with a 225 for the open with a best round score of 73 coming in the first round. Carpenter finished the open with 31 pars while having six birdies as well and the Rangers only Eagle in the tournament.
Next, for Northwestern was Davan Smith. He had a best round of 72 coming in the third and final round after two 77 rounds in the first two rounds. Smith had 31 birdies through the three rounds while having eight birdies.
Pierce Geminden was fifth for Northwestern after a best round of 73 in round two placing 61st overall. Geminden had 33 pars through the three rounds with five birdies.
Max Courange placed 80th overall with a best round of 78 between the three rounds. Courange had 31 pars while adding three birdies in the open.
Northwestern will play their final tournament in the Great American Conference tournament starting on April 21st through the 23rd.
