Rangers Have Eight Players Earn All-Conference Honors for Baseball

ALVA, OKLAHOMA - Northwestern Oklahoma State Baseball finished their season with a 31-20 overall record. The 31 wins is the most in the Division II era for Ranger baseball and the most since the 2012 season.

Northwestern was rewarded for this season having eight players have conference accolades and nine overall accolades after the conference made the announcement of the end of season awards as Trevor Saire earned all-conference and all-defensive team. The eight players and nine overall awards is the most in the division II era for the Rangers beating out the previous high in 2021. These players include Carson Wright, Dylan Bradford, Hagen Barcello, Chad Green, Jacob Shaw, Paul Sachen, Trevor Saire, and Jacob Wiltshire.

The Rangers had two first-team all conference members in Dylan Bradford and Carson Wright. Wright led the Rangers in batting average, was tied for the most home runs on the team, second in RBIs and tied for the highest on base percentage. The .389 batting average was third in the conference. Wright finished the year with 72 hits on the season which was the fourth most in the Great American Conference.

Bradford finished the season with a .380 batting average which was third on the Rangers and eighth overall in the conference. His .491 on base percentage was tied for first on the Rangers and fifth overall in the conference. Bradford scored 57 runs on the season which was the most on the Rangers and fourth in the GAC for the season. He also stole a team high 13 bases. 

Northwestern then had three second team all-conference players which included Jacob Shaw, Hagen Barcello, and Chad Green. Shaw led the Rangers in wins with five on the season alongside leading the team in saves with eight. The eight saves was a conference high for the season. Shaw finished the season with a 3.41 ERA. 

Barcello completed the season with 12 home runs tied for the most on the season with Carson Wright and Colby Grace, along with 51 RBIs on the season which was the team high. The 51 runs batted in were the seventh most in the Great American Conference. 

Green finished the season with a .385 batting average which was sixth in the Great American Conference and second overall on the Rangers. His .654 slugging percentage ranked him 10th in the conference and second on the team only behind Wright. Green finished the season with seven home runs and 34-RBIs.

The Rangers had two players earn GAC honorable mention in Paul Sachen and Trevor Saire. Saire finished the season with a .312 batting average, alongside a .350 on base percentage. He had eight extra base hits with nine home runs and nine doubles on the season while driving in 33 runs for the Rangers. 

Sachen finished the season with a .276 batting average hitting seven home runs and driving in 39 runs for the Rangers. He had an on base percentage of .387 and hit a total of 19 extra base hits with 11 doubles, a triple and the seven home runs. 

Northwestern had two players on the all defensive team which included Jacob Wiltshire and Trevor Saire. Saire finished the season without committing an error with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. Saire finished the season with 135 putouts and four assists. 

Jacob Wiltshire finished the year with 144 assists the most in the Great American Conference along with 77 putouts on the season. He finished the season with a .974 fielding percentage.
