Rangers Wrap Up Newman Fall Invitational

NEWTON, Kan. - The Northwestern Oklahoma State men's golf team finished fourth at the Newman Fall Invitational on Tuesday.

Minnesota-Crookston won the tournament by shooting right at par, while Cooper Scheck of Fort Hays State and Marc Bofarull of Minnesota-Crookston tied for first by finishing three under par.

Chris Xiao led the Rangers with 74 in round one, 71 in round two, and 76 in round three to finish 12th, while Zac Farmer finished 15th with rounds of 74, 70 and 78 to finish with a combined 222.

Pierce Geminden posted a first round of 77, but rebounded with 73 and 74 to finish 20th. Max Courange finished with 76, 78, and 79, while Matti Zerwin improved in every round, as he started with 82 in round one, then 80 in round two, and 75 in round three.

The Rangers will be back in action on October 6th and 7th in Edmond at the Kickingbird Golf Course for the Skip Wagon Invite hosted by the University of Central Oklahoma.
