Rangers Fall in Final Minutes at Ouachita Baptist

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Northwestern Oklahoma State women's soccer team fell to Ouachita Baptist, 1-0, Thursday afternoon.

The loss drops the Rangers to 10-3-2 on the season, as they still need four points to clinch a spot in the Great American Conference tournament.

The first half between the Tigers and Rangers was a defensive slugfest, as Taylor Annen made save after save to keep the score locked at 0-0 heading into halftime. The Rangers had three shots in the first half, while the Tigers had seven.

The Ranger offense put the pressure on the Tigers in the second half, as the Rangers had five shots to Ouachita's two. Despite the Rangers winning the shot battle in the second half, the Tigers struck with a goal in the final two minutes of the game to give the Tigers the win.

Jordan Fawcett led the Rangers in total shots with three, while Jenna Mills and Luana San Miguel each had two.

The Rangers will be back in action on Nov. 1, as they travel to Searcy, Arkansas to take on Harding at 11 a.m.
