ALVA, Okla. – Multiple Rangers were recognized by the Great American Conference with All-GAC honors in a vote by the coaches of the conference, with
Luana San Miguel and
Kamalei Kealoha being named to the All-GAC first team.
San Miguel played and started in all 18 games for the Rangers and scored six goals throughout the season, including two multi-goal games against Southern Nazarene and East Central. She also won two GAC offensive player of the week awards for weeks four and five of the regular season.
Kealoha played in all 18 games and led the Rangers in total minutes with 1561. She played all 90 minutes in 13 games this season and had an assist in the win over New Mexico Highlands. She is also the first Northwestern freshman to be on the All-GAC first team since
Tiara Campbell in 2021.
Two Rangers made the All-GAC second team, as
Christi-Anne Mills and
Elie Dang also received honors.
Mills led the Rangers in goals with seven, including scoring both goals in a 2-1 win at Newman. She played and started in all 18 games this season and had an assist against New Mexico Highlands.
Dang played in all 18 games for Northwestern and was third on the team in total minutes played with 1511. She played all 90 minutes in 13 games this season, and helped contribute to the eight shutouts the Rangers posted this season. She was also the GAC co-defensive player of the week for week eight of the regular season.
The Rangers also had two honorable mentions in
Jenna Mills and
Taylor Annen.
The Rangers will be back in action on Nov. 14, as they travel to Searcy, Arkansas to take on Harding in the GAC semifinal at 11 am.
