WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The Northwestern Oklahoma State women's soccer team fell at Southwestern, 1-0, on Wednesday afternoon.
The Rangers and Bulldogs battled back-and-forth in the first half, with the Rangers getting several scoring opportunities. Despite the eight shots for Northwestern, the Rangers were tied 0-0 going into the half.
The battle continued in the second half, but the Bulldogs scored in the 68th minute to pull ahead. The Ranger offense created multiple looks, but could not get an equalizer and dropped to 10-5-2 on the season.
Christi-Anne Mills led the Rangers in shots with three, including two shots on goal.
Jordan Fawcett and
Kamalei Kealoha each had two shots, while
Luana San Miguel and
Katy Jo Werner each had one.
The Rangers will be back in action for senior day on Nov. 8, when they take on Southern Nazarene at noon at the Alva Rec Complex.
