ALVA, OKLAHOMA - The Northwestern Oklahoma State Men's Basketball team (10-9, 7-6 GAC) closing out a two-game trip to Arkansas, finishing the road trip in Russellville, Arkansas against Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys (9-10, 6-7 GAC).
This will be the 23rd meeting in the series between the two programs as the Rangers trail the history 9-13 overall in the series matchup dating back to 2014. Rangers look to complete the season sweep over Arkansas Tech after winning the matchup in Alva 89-75.
Rangers look to bounce back after having the four-game win streak snapped to Harding on Thursday evening. Northwestern has won four of their last five games, with wins over Arkansas Monticello (73-68), Southern Arkansas (70-51), Southwestern (70-64), and East Central (71-66).
In the loss to Harding on Thursday the Rangers were led by Max Alexander with 21 points, and Camron McDowell with 16 points the two Rangers in double figures.
The Rangers are led by Camron McDowell and Max Alexander averaging 24.3 points and 21.
2 points per game. McDowell is first in the conference in points per game and third overall in Division II, as Alexander is 3rd in the conference and 14th overall. On top of scoring Alexander leads the team in assists at 4.1 per game which is fifth in the conference per game. Tshibangu is fourth in the conference in offensive rebounds per game with 2.5
McDowell is the team leader in steals with 35 on the season, followed by Alexander with 33 on the year. Kabeya Tshibangu is the team leader with 6.9 rebounds per game, fifth in the conference. He has a team-high 20 blocks which is fourth in the conference. Alexander and McDowell are both top 10 in steals in the conference.
ARKANSAS TECH:
Arkansas Tech enters Saturday with a 9-10 record and 6-7 in conference play. The Wonder Boys have won two straight games with wins over Arkansas Monticello and Southwestern Oklahoma State.
The Bulldogs entered play on Thursday winning their last time out with a win over Southwestern Oklahoma State 71-68. In the win over Southwestern, the Wonder Boys were led by Kade Shaffer with 18 points followed by Cassius Brooks with 17 points and Seybian Sims at 14.
Arkansas Tech is led by Cassius Brooks with 18.2 points per game the team's leading scorer followed by Carlos Ramsey at 10.1 points per game. Shaffer leads the team with 63 assists on the season for 3.70 per game.
The defensive side of the court is led by Cassius Brooks with 27 steals on the year followed by Seybian Sims with 26. Sean Cobb is the team leader in blocks with 13 on the year. Seybian Sims has 7.6 rebounds per game.
