SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - Northwestern Oklahoma State Men's Golf opened the spring season at the Rattler Invitational hosted by St. Mary's.The Rangers finished 16th in the tournament with a final total of 934. The Rangers finished with a total of 319-319-296 in the three rounds.
St.Mary's was first in the tournament with an 855 in the three rounds. Bryce Womack of Midland was the leader in the individual board with a total of 209.
For the Rangers, the best finisher was Mathieu Zerwin who tied for 19th overall after leading the tournament with 40 pars through the three rounds. He finished with a total of 221 after improving each round after starting with a 76-73-72. He added six birdies in the tournament.
Number two for the Rangers was Max Courange with a total of 232 in the three rounds with a 77-81-74 for the two-day tournament. Courange had seven birdies for the Rangers team high along with 27 pars in the tournament.
Caden Holmes was third for the Rangers after a three-round total of 239 with an 83-82-74 as round three was his best for the tournament. Holmes had 31 pars in the tournament along with three birdies.
Max Garza was fourth for the Rangers after a tournament with five birdies, and 18 pars for his total finishing at 253. His three-round score was 91-83-79 for the Rangers in the tournament.
Pierce Geminden in the tournament finished with a two-round score with an 83-DQ-76 in his three rounds. He had 34 pars in the tournament and three birdies.
Northwestern is back in action on March 3rd-4th at the Arkansas Fort Smith Invitational in Rogers Arkansas at the Shadow Valley Country Club.
