Elias Herrera threw 3 ? innings earning his second win of the season. Dawson Toborg and Connor Willis combined for the final 3 ? innings allowing one unearned run striking out three.

The Rangers starting pitcher Logan Sandoval threw a 1-2-3 perfect first inning striking out one, setting up the Ragner offense for a big first inning. The inning started with the Rangers pushing across three runs before the first out. A leadoff single by Dylan Bradford before back-to-back walks set up bases loaded for Connor Green. Green delivered his first big hit of the afternoon with a bases-clearing double for the early 3-0 lead. Rangers continued to add on a bases-loaded walk followed by a hit batter to push across two more runs as the patient at-bats led to runs and a 5-0 first-inning lead.

Newman was able to answer back with two runs against the Rangers as a leadoff walk and a single put two runners on base. A wild pitch pushed across the visitors' first run before a single scored Trammell and had the Rangers lead cut to 5-2.

The Rangers had two hits in the second inning but were not able to capitalize as the Jets kept the game at 5-2 through two innings. The pitching settled in from there as after a couple consecutive innings retiring the side in order. The score remained 5-2 into the sixth inning, as combined between the four innings only two hits were allowed from the two pitching staffs.

In the top of the sixth inning, a two-out single and stolen base led to the eventual two-run home run from Mitchell to cut into the Ranger lead at 5-4. Northwestern bounced back in the home half of the sixth inning as the inning started with three straight walks before Hagen Barcello hit a single back up the middle scoring Dylan Bradford, and Jacob Wiltshire extending the lead back to 7-4. In the same inning with the bases loaded the Rangers capitalized on a Jets error as the play at the plate was thrown wide, scoring Barcello and Wright. Trevor Saire had an RBI sacrifice fly for the 10-4 lead through six innings of play. This was the second five-run inning for the Rangers in the game.

The bottom of the seventh inning the Rangers cleanup hitter Connor Green pushed across two more runs as after a single and a walk he drilled a two run double to right field scoring Barcello and Bradford as the Rangers took a 12-4 lead.

Newman was able to get one run in the ninth on a Ranger error but Connor Willis struck out the final hitter of the game sealing the 12-5 victory over the Newman Jets Tuesday afternoon.
