The Northwestern men's cross country team placed fourth out of 17 competing teams in the Bethel College Muthama-Rogers Invitational meet with a score of 108.
"The men's team was led by Kabelo Maja. We had two guys in the top 20 that received awards today. Overall, the team ran okay. We had some good break throughs, and we had some rough performance. Very excited to see what they can do when it comes down to the conference meet," said men's and women's head cross country coach, Sterlin Broomfield.
Maja was the fastest one out of The Rangers with a 27:38 time and placing fourteenth in the meet. Andrew Scott was right behind him with a 27:44 and finished seventeenth. Cooper Bell and Edward Robledo-Gonzalez both finished with a time of 28:02. Alan Lares ended the meet with a 28:34, Riley Herndon with a 28:49.
The Rangers cross country will be back in action on Sept. 20th, when they run at the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Missouri.
