Monticello, Ak. - the Northwestern Oklahoma State Softball team dropped the final game of the series against the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
The bats were on fire to begin the game for Northwestern. Kaitlyn Corn opened the game with a double and Kaylee Madden proceeded to hit a single in the next at bat. After a sac fly, the Rangers got on the board first and the score was 1-0 after the top of the first inning.
Pitcher Grace Hulsey started on the mound for Northwestern before Madelyn Cason took over in the fourth inning. After scoring three runs in the third, the Blossoms took the lead and never looked back.
Northwestern loaded the bases in the top of the sixth, but were unable to capitalize.
The Rangers drop the final game of the series 3-1. Northwestern will be back in action at home on Tuesday.
