ALVA, Okla. – The Northwestern Oklahoma State University women's basketball team will be honored by Woods County and Alva on Monday, April 6th at the Woods County Courthouse and be recognized for their accomplishments this season. 

Woods County is declaring April 6^th Lady Ranger Basketball Day in commemoration of the 2026 Great American Conference tournament championship they won this year and the 2026 NCAA Tournament participation in March.  The event will take place at the Woods County Courthouse parking lot beginning at noon. Community members and fans are encouraged to come out and meet the Lady Rangers and take photos with the team and the championship trophy.
